Bengaluru stops a six-match losing streak against Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Points Table match between SRH and RCB, but they still sit tenth overall.

Indian spin duo Karn Sharma and Swapnil Singh took four wickets apiece in the ongoing IPL 2024, helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru break a six-game winning streak. They won by a total of 35 runs over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Rummy won their second game of the current season, despite SRH suffering their first loss in five games. Their most recent triumph over Punjab Kings was on March 25 at home.

The visiting team, led by Faf du Plessis, won the toss and scored a decent 206 for 7, setting a target of 207 runs for Hyderabad’s fearsome batting line, which has already shattered multiple IPL batting records this season. The hosts only managed 171 for eight, though.

After Plessis connected for 12 balls with current Orange Cap holder and Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli, the game was abandoned. The 48-run partnership was started by Kohli with a sluggish 43 balls. Despite everything, Bengaluru managed to reach the crucial total thanks to an amazing fifty off twenty balls from Rajat Patidar. The openers for Hyderabad, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, were unable to establish a solid rapport in return.

After just one run in the opening over, spinner Will Jacks dismissed the Australian. Before being removed in the fourth over with Sunrisers at 2-37, Sharma struck 31 balls from 13 balls. Three significant middle-order wickets were taken in the eighth over of the chase by Heinrich Klaasen (7), Aiden Markram (7), and Nitish Kumar Reddy (13), and Karna and Swapnil left Hyderabad at 5-69.

Even though they are again tied for tenth place with four points, dafabet and Punjab Kings have broken their losing streak. There is, however, only a slight difference in their net run rates (-0.721). However, Sunrisers Hyderabad have improved to ten points from their last five games and are in third place. Despite being in fourth place, they are both under threat from clubs like the Lucknow Super Giants (10 points) and Chennai Super Kings (8 points), who are in fifth place.
